It is unclear whether they are exhuming or burying something... Filming in Nabua in northeastern Thailand, site of a 1965 battle between communist farmers and the totalitarian government, Apichatpong employs an incantatory omniscient narration to evoke repression and hope.

Peter Rose has been experimenting with "transfalumination" for several years. At night, he ventures into marginal city places and performs peculiar light ceremonies. This movie is a journey, an opera, and a Buddhist koan that presents some of the mysterious results of this research.

I Know Where I'm Going

On his pilgrimage to the isle of Mull, Rivers seeks out hidden trails of an almost abandoned Britain. Equipped with his 16mm Bolex, he encounters peculiar characters and confronts anomalous weather. He follows the trail of Joan Webster, the lead character from the celebrated, eponymous 1945 movie. Unlike Webster, he trusts in the laws of serendipity, and wanders with the intention of getting lost.
