Since the beginning of May, there is a new film theatre in Gent: KASKcinema. Courtisane is one of the various organisations which will contribute to its round the year programme. For the first Courtisane event at KASKCinema, we will present a modest focus on the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini, filmmaker, poet, author and true dissenter at heart.  On June 8th and 9th we celebrate his outspokenly rebellious character with the screening of two rarely shown and recently restored documentaries by Pasolini, as well as works by two artists who each in their own way reinvigorate his legacy: Alfredo Jaar and Ayreen Anastas.
