Created in 2007, SIC (SoundImageCulture) is a Brussels-based workspace proposing a yearly nine-month programme for artists, filmmakers and social scientists to develop artistic projects operating in the intersection between anthropology, documentary filmmaking and contemporary art. Around ten projects are selected and followed by the SIC team every year, 44 participants having taken part in SIC since its beginnings. 

This exhibition, curated by Maria Palacios Cruz of Courtisane, showcases a selective survey of the work produced during the first five editions of the programme, while attempting to capture and present the spirit of the creative and reflexive process that SIC engages as a workspace.
