The ten-year long stay of Ogawa Productions in the village of Magino resulted in a monumental film that brings together all the ideas and themes that the collective developed in its previous work: rural culture and heritage, agriculture and science, the customs of the inhabitants and their relation to the land, the long resistance culture of the farmers and their resistance to the authorities. The various layers of time of this place are interwoven through the stories of the villagers, the cycles of the rice harvest and the changing seasons.
