Een film over het resultaat van arbeid. We zien een koppel dat met hun hard verdiende lonen meubelen zoekt en burg- ers die in hun vrije tijd waterskiën en vissen. BZV is gefilmd in en rond Congo-Brazzaville. De film verweeft op naturalistische wijze verschillende elementen van het sociale en fysieke landschap. De titel verwijst naar de luchthavencode van Brazzaville.

The Island of St. Matthews happened because I was looking for a lot of old photographs for artist’s books years ago. When I was down in Mississippi, I was asking my aunt on my mom’s side, “Where are the old pictures and stuff like that?” And she kept saying, “We lost them in the flood.” So I always wanted to make a film about the 1973 flood of the Tombigbee River back home.
